‘Flumen Publicum’ ,  textile and sound installation , 2024

On Bodies Festival , dance house Nicosia

Flumen Publicum explores the importance of Pithkias river in Nicosia and the Green Line (buffer zone) which divides the city and passes through this garden. The textile and sound installation consists of layered carpets resembling flows , stones, and plants of the area and sounds of known and unknown Cypriot (Turkish and greek) voices. The work explores the traces of water, the river as a natural boundary and also as an actual border that flows through the whole island of Cyprus.
